Laptop Donation Success Story
A few weeks ago I searched on Pete's Repeats for help in locating a lap top computer for a 22 year old Spinal Cord Injury patient who was rehabilitating at Burke Rehab in White Plains NY. This gentleman is no quitter and wants to attend college soon, but the requirement is a lap top or no admittance, and he could not afford anything close to the cost of a lap top computer.
Very generous HDHM subscribers Bob and Jane Rohr in Brookfield CT answered the call and they have picked up the entire cost of a new lap top which we delivered to Steven today at Burke in WP. We also received $300.00 from 11 other donors for this young man and we gave him a HDHM check for that amount to be applied to the purchase of books or any immediate need.
In addition we were blessed by an IBM employee John Dischinger who was instrumental in utilizing his employee discount and with his technical skills purchased at a savings the IBM lap top and included a docking station for ease of transfer for Steven.

What a smile. He is one happy dude.
It is folks like this that make this Ministry what it is, and we are very grateful for the support.
