Rake n Bake Rain Plan
With the questionable weather on Saturday we met as a small HDHM Rake N Bake committee and developed this strategy.
Because HDHM Ministry has already invested in excess of $1,300 to feed 1,000 plus volunteers and clients, we will be providing Brunch/Lunch for you tomorrow only, rain or shine.
Our Blanket and coat drive is still on as well, and we will have a large truck on hand in the parking lot for your convenience. I just learned that coats for children as well as adults will be accepted along with any blankets.
Your role:
Option 1--
REGARDLESS OF THE WEATHER-Please come to the BHS gym between 7:30AM and 8AM to meet your respective team Captain. We will have our pep rally and you will have the chance to hold a team meeting to explore options.
1. Do we rake today Sat Nov 13 if weather permits?
2. Do we meet at the client house tomorrow, Sunday Nov 16 and do the job in better weather?
3. Do we meet at the client home next Saturday Nov 22 and do the job at a designated time?
We will leave those decisions up to each independent team.
Whatever you decide, please remain or return to the gym on Sat tomorrow Nov 15 to help us eat 1,000 hot dogs, 100 lbs of assorted salads, Tuna, Egg, Chicken, Potato, etc. as well as some fancy deserts served with soda and apple cider. We do not want to waste food. Please help us eat.
Our official Rake N Bake planning role ends tomorrow after the lunch. Yeah Team
If you do not show up at all tomorrow, you will indeed let your whole team down and that would be disappointing and a dis-service to say the least.
We can still have fun with a pre-celebration luncheon. We will provide the music for dancing.
Any burning questions please contact the Chairman Rob Bonn at 740-9553 or e mail him at robertbonn81@cs.com
Please make sure your questions are BURNING. He is a tired pup.
No need to ask anyone if the Rake n Bake is still on, because it is with the above provisions and options. Please come as planned.
Thanks you.
